🎯 Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for creating and reviewing technical drawings, 3D models, and engineering documentation in line with industry standards. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and client-facing teams to ensure the integrity, feasibility, and accuracy of design deliverables.

📌 Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Create GA drawings, fabrication drawings, machining/part drawings, and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
🔹 Collaborate with engineers and team members to develop and finalize design concepts
🔹 Interpret sketches, technical specifications, and design documents to generate precise engineering drawings
🔹 Review and revise drawings as per engineering changes, modifications, or client feedback
🔹 Perform basic calculations related to structural, static equipment, and pressure vessel design
🔹 Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards including ASME, API, ASTM, OISD, and NFPA
🔹 Participate in design reviews and provide input for design optimization and continuous improvement
🔹 Coordinate with manufacturing and assembly teams for production support
🔹 Assist in resolving design-related issues during execution or fabrication
🔹 Prepare cost estimations, BOM (Bill of Materials), and generate item codes
🔹 Review technical specifications from clients, perform gap analysis, and submit deviation sheets with clarifications
🔹 Evaluate and review design analysis reports for storage tanks, pressure vessels, and skid packages
🔹 Attend visits to client sites, vendor premises, and factories when required
🔹 Maintain accurate and organized design files and project documentation

🧠 Key Skills & Competencies:

• Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other design tools
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design, fabrication practices, and manufacturing processes
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME Sec VIII, API 650/620, NFPA, OISD, etc.
• Basic understanding of mechanical/structural calculations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational skills
• Team player with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines

📚 Educational Qualification:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• Certification in AutoCAD/SolidWorks will be an added advantage

🧳 Experience:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design, fabrication, or pressure vessel/storage tank/skid package design is preferred
