🧵 Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sampling Tailor to join our fashion production team. The Sampling Tailor will be responsible for creating garment samples based on design specifications and technical sheets. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of pattern-making, stitching techniques, and fabric handling to bring new designs to life.
âœ‚ï¸ Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret design sketches and technical packs to construct high-quality garment samples
- Perform cutting, stitching, and finishing of samples independently
- Collaborate with designers, merchandisers, and pattern masters for accurate sample development
- Suggest modifications for improving fit, finish, or construction
- Ensure precision and adherence to style, measurement, and finishing standards
- Maintain sample timelines and coordinate with the production team for approvals
- Modify or rework samples based on feedback from design or QC teams
- Keep work area clean, organized, and machine-ready
👗 Requirements:
- Proven experience as a tailor, preferably in garment sampling
- Proficient in operating industrial sewing machines
- Good understanding of patterns, cuts, and garment construction
- Ability to work with various fabrics including knits, woven, denim, etc.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics
- Ability to follow instructions and deliver within deadlines
- Flexibility to adapt to different designs and changes during the sampling process
🌟 Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of fashion trends and garment finishing
- Experience in high-fashion or export garment sampling
- Understanding of garment sizing and fitting
