Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Installation Work:

• Install pipes, fixtures, and fittings for water supply and drainage systems.
• Connect appliances like sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, and dishwashers.
• Read and interpret blueprints and building codes to determine plumbing layout.

Maintenance and Repairs:

• Inspect and test plumbing systems for leaks, blockages, and defects.
• Repair or replace broken pipes, valves, or fixtures.
• Clear clogged drains and toilets using plumbing tools and equipment.

System Testing and Troubleshooting:

• Conduct pressure tests to check for leaks.
• Diagnose problems in plumbing systems using specialized tools.
• Ensure systems are functioning according to safety and efficiency standards.

Pipe Fabrication and Fitting:

• Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipes using hand and power tools.
• Join pipes using soldering, welding, or gluing techniques.

Safety and Compliance:

• Follow health and safety standards on job sites.
• Ensure plumbing systems comply with local building codes and regulations.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provide cost estimates and material lists for plumbing work.
• Collaborate with construction teams, electricians, and HVAC technicians.
• Keep records of work performed and materials used.
