Jobs Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer Apprentice to oversee the electrical systems and maintenance operations at our steel wire manufacturing plant alongside the existing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems to ensure seamless production, compliance with safety regulations, and optimal energy efficiency. There is a potential of this turning into a full-time position if the sensibilities match.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Ensure the smooth operation of electrical equipment, including motors, transformers, control panels, PLCs and power distribution systems.
- Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems, minimizing downtime.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to enhance system reliability.
- Monitor and optimize electrical load to improve energy efficiency.
2. Installation & Upgradation of Electrical Systems:
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new electrical systems and machinery.
- Work on automation and control systems to improve plant efficiency.
- Upgrade old wiring, panels, and circuits to meet industry standards.
3. Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure electrical safety as per Indian Electricity Act, 2003 and factory regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to prevent electrical hazards.
- Maintain documentation of electrical inspections and compliance reports.
4. Process Optimization & Energy Management:
- Work on power factor correction, demand control, and energy conservation initiatives.
- Identify and implement cost-effective solutions to reduce energy consumption.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure minimal disruption during maintenance.
5. Vendor & Team Coordination:
- Liaise with equipment manufacturers, suppliers, and contractors for maintenance and procurement.
- Guide electricians and technicians, providing technical support and training.
