As a self-employed tailor, you will provide bespoke tailoring and alteration services to clients, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical skill, and excellent customer service to create and modify garments tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and Pattern Making: Create original designs or modify existing patterns to meet client specifications.
2. Sewing and Alterations: Perform sewing tasks, including cutting fabric, stitching, and finishing garments. Make alterations to fit individual body shapes and sizes.
3. Fabric Selection: Advise clients on fabric choices and sourcing, considering quality, durability, and style.
4. Quality Control: Ensure all finished garments meet quality standards for fit, construction, and overall appearance.
5. Business Management: Manage all aspects of your tailoring business, including marketing, scheduling, and bookkeeping.
