About the Role

We are looking for a TOT-Certified Junior Beauty Therapist Trainer to deliver quality skill training to candidates as per the curriculum prescribed by the Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (B&WSSC).

The trainer will be responsible for delivering theoretical and practical training, monitoring candidate performance and attendance, maintaining MIS records, preparing candidates for assessment and certification, and supporting candidates towards placement.

Trainer Eligibility & Qualification

1. Must be TOT Certified by the respective Sector Skill Council for the job role Junior Beauty Therapist, mapped to BWS/Q0101 Version 5.0.
2. Minimum 10th pass with Diploma in Beauty or Cosmetology.
3. Diploma should be of at least 6 months duration.
4. Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in Skincare Services.
5. Strong practical knowledge of beauty and wellness services.
6. Good communication and candidate-handling skills.
7. Trainer should be capable of delivering both theoretical and practical sessions.
8. The official Model Curriculum specifies a minimum accepted TOT score of 80% for the mapped job role.

Key Training Areas

The trainer will provide training as per the BWS/Q0101 Version 5.0 curriculum, including:

1. Preparing and maintaining the work area
2. Basic skincare services
3. Electrical/electronic equipment used for facial beauty services
4. Basic hair removal services
5. Simple makeup services
6. Simple hair dressing and root touch-up
7. Manicure and pedicure services
8. Basic mehndi designs and nail art
9. Health and safety at the workplace
10. Creating a positive impression at the workplace
11. Employability skills

The current Model Curriculum specifies 450 total training hours, including theory, practical training and mandatory OJT.

Key Responsibilities

1. Counsel and guide candidates regarding the Junior Beauty Therapist job role and career opportunities.
2. Conduct training as per the B&WSSC-approved curriculum and module structure.
3. Deliver both theoretical and practical training effectively.
4. Demonstrate beauty therapy procedures and ensure candidates gain hands-on practical skills.
5. Monitor and maintain candidate attendance regularly.
6. Prepare and submit daily MIS reports and required training records.
7. Conduct pre-assessment activities to evaluate candidate readiness.
8. Prepare candidates for the final assessment and certification.
9. Identify candidates' learning gaps and provide additional support where required.
10. Maintain discipline, hygiene, safety and professional standards during training sessions.
11. Motivate candidates to achieve good grades and successfully complete the certification process.
12. Support and motivate candidates towards suitable placement opportunities.
13. Maintain proper records of training activities, candidate performance and assessments.
14. Coordinate with the concerned team regarding batch progress, attendance, assessments and placement activities.
15. Work towards maintaining a 95% result target, subject to candidate attendance, participation and assessment performance.
