About the Role

JDNS Engineering Works Private Limited is looking for an experienced and skilled Self-Employed Tailor (TOT Certified Trainer) to deliver quality skill training to candidates as per the curriculum, assessment requirements, and guidelines prescribed by the respective Sector Skill Council.

The trainer will be responsible for theoretical and practical training, candidate counselling, attendance monitoring, MIS reporting, pre-assessment preparation, assessment readiness, and motivating candidates towards successful certification and employment.

Trainer Eligibility

1. Must be TOT-certified by the respective Sector Skill Council applicable to the job role.
2. Educational qualification, experience, and trainer eligibility should be as per the applicable NSQF Qualification Pack and SSC guidelines.
3. Candidates should have relevant experience in tailoring, garment construction, stitching, alteration, and related apparel activities.
4. Minimum 1 year of relevant industry/training experience is required.
5. Strong practical knowledge of sewing machines, garment construction, measurements, stitching techniques, finishing, and workplace safety is preferred.
6. Good communication, candidate counselling, and training delivery skills are required.

Key Responsibilities

1. Candidate Counselling

1. Counsel candidates regarding the Self-Employed Tailor job role, course structure, career opportunities, and industry requirements.
2. Motivate candidates to actively participate in the training programme.
3. Explain potential employment and self-employment opportunities in the tailoring and apparel sector.

2. Training Delivery

1. Conduct theoretical and practical training as per the prescribed curriculum.
2. Demonstrate tailoring, cutting, stitching, garment construction, alteration, and finishing techniques.
3. Provide hands-on practical sessions using appropriate tools and sewing equipment.
4. Ensure candidates develop the required occupational and practical competencies.

3. Attendance Monitoring

1. Maintain daily candidate attendance records.
2. Monitor candidate participation, punctuality, and practical involvement.
3. Follow up with candidates regarding irregular attendance.

4. Daily MIS Reporting

1. Prepare and submit daily training and MIS reports.
2. Maintain attendance, training, practical assessment, and candidate progress records.
3. Coordinate with centre management regarding training activities and candidate performance.

5. Pre-Assessment Preparation

1. Conduct practical practice sessions and mock assessments.
2. Identify candidate learning gaps and provide additional guidance.
3. Prepare candidates according to the prescribed assessment requirements.

6. Assessment & Certification Readiness

1. Prepare candidates for theoretical and practical assessments.
2. Ensure candidates understand the required assessment procedures and performance standards.
3. Coordinate with the concerned team regarding assessment-related activities.

7. Placement & Self-Employment Motivation

1. Motivate candidates to participate in placement and career-development activities.
2. Guide candidates regarding opportunities in tailoring units, garment manufacturing, boutiques, alteration shops, and self-employment.
3. Encourage candidates to develop the skills required to establish their own tailoring services.

8. Training Quality & Results

1. Maintain high standards of training quality.
2. Monitor candidate learning and practical performance throughout the training programme.
3. Work towards achieving strong candidate assessment and certification outcomes, subject to candidate attendance, participation, and assessment performance.
4. Provide additional mentoring and practical support to candidates requiring improvement.

Desired Candidate Profile

1. TOT-certified Self-Employed Tailor / relevant Apparel-sector Trainer.
2. Relevant qualification and experience as per applicable NSQF/SSC requirements.
3. Minimum 1 year of relevant industry or training experience.
4. Strong practical knowledge of tailoring and garment construction.
5. Good communication and counselling skills.
6. Ability to conduct both classroom and practical training.
7. Strong candidate engagement and mentoring skills.
8. Willingness to work at an offline training centre in Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
9. Candidates available for immediate joining will be preferred.
