Job Description – Soft Skills Trainer

Project: DDU-GKY 2.0
Location: Assam – Beltola Tiniali

We are looking for a Soft Skills Trainer with excellent English communication and presentation skills to deliver high-quality training under the DDU-GKY 2.0 project. The trainer will focus on improving candidates’ spoken English, communication, employability, personality development, and workplace readiness.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver structured training as per the approved DDU-GKY curriculum and training schedule.
2. Provide English communication training, including spoken English, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, sentence formation, and conversational skills.
3. Improve candidates’ English fluency, confidence, and professional communication.
4. Conduct personality development, workplace etiquette, grooming, and professional behaviour sessions.
5. Prepare candidates for interviews, presentations, group discussions, and public speaking.
6. Conduct practical activities such as role plays, mock interviews, group discussions, and communication exercises.
7. Develop candidates’ teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and time-management skills.
8. Monitor candidate attendance, participation, progress, and overall performance.
9. Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to candidates.
10. Maintain daily training records, attendance, assessment records, and required MIS reports.
11. Counsel and motivate candidates to improve their learning outcomes and employment readiness.
12. Coordinate with the project team and centre management regarding training progress and candidate performance.
13. Ensure training quality and compliance with applicable DDU-GKY 2.0 project guidelines and standards.

Candidate Requirements

1. Qualification: 12th / Graduate in any discipline.
2. Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Soft Skills, English Communication, Employability Skills, or Vocational Training.
3. English Communication: Excellent spoken and written English communication skills are mandatory.
4. Strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversational English.
5. Excellent presentation and public-speaking skills.
6. Good classroom management and learner engagement abilities.
7. Strong interpersonal, counselling, and motivational skills.
8. Ability to work with candidates from diverse educational and socio-economic backgrounds.
9. Good computer knowledge and ability to maintain MIS/training records.
10. DDU-GKY project experience is required/preferred for applicable positions.
