Trainer Eligibility

1. Must be TOT Certified by the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI) for the relevant job role.
2. Educational qualification and relevant industry experience should be as prescribed under the applicable NSQF/ESSCI qualification requirements.
3. For ELE/Q4601, the qualification is NSQF Level 4. The official qualification information includes pathways such as 10th with relevant NTC/NAC and experience, 12th pass, or equivalent NSQF qualification pathways.
4. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred/required for this vacancy.

Key Responsibilities

1. Candidate Counselling

1. Counsel candidates regarding the course, job role, career opportunities and industry requirements.
2. Motivate candidates to actively participate in the training programme.
3. Guide candidates regarding career progression and employment opportunities.

2. Candidate Training

1. Deliver classroom and practical training as per the ESSCI-approved curriculum and training modules.
2. Provide hands-on training related to desktop computers, laptops and their peripherals.
3. Train candidates in installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance activities.
4. Explain technical concepts using practical demonstrations and industry-relevant examples.

3. Attendance Monitoring

1. Monitor and maintain daily candidate attendance.
2. Ensure regular participation and punctuality of candidates.
3. Follow up with candidates having irregular attendance.

4. Daily MIS Reporting

1. Maintain and submit daily MIS reports as required.
2. Update training progress, attendance, practical sessions and candidate performance.
3. Maintain required training records and documentation.

5. Pre-Assessment

1. Conduct/mock pre-assessment activities to evaluate candidate knowledge and practical skills.
2. Identify learning gaps and provide additional support where required.
3. Prepare candidates according to the assessment requirements.

6. Assessment & Certification Preparation

1. Prepare candidates for the final assessment conducted as per applicable SSC/assessment guidelines.
2. Conduct revision sessions, mock tests and practical assessments.
3. Ensure candidates understand the required technical competencies and assessment standards.

7. Placement & Career Motivation

1. Motivate candidates to actively participate in placement activities.
2. Guide candidates regarding employment opportunities in IT hardware, computer service, after-sales support and related sectors.
3. Encourage candidates to achieve good grades and demonstrate professional behaviour.

8. Training Quality & Results

1. Maintain high-quality training delivery and candidate engagement.
2. Work towards achieving a target of 95% or higher candidate assessment results, subject to candidate attendance, participation and assessment outcomes.
3. Continuously monitor candidate performance and provide remedial training wherever necessary.

Technical Training Areas

The trainer should be capable of delivering training in areas including:

1. Desktop computer installation and configuration
2. Computer peripherals installation and troubleshooting
3. Laptop installation and servicing
4. Hardware troubleshooting
5. Repair and maintenance of desktop computers
6. Repair and maintenance of laptops and peripherals
7. Customer requirement assessment
8. Basic diagnostic and fault-finding techniques
9. Workplace safety practices
10. Customer service and after-sales support
11. Practical demonstrations and hands-on activities

The official qualification covers NOS areas including evaluating customer requirements, installing desktop computers and peripherals, desktop repair and maintenance, laptop installation, and laptop repair and maintenance.
