Trainer Eligibility

1. Trainer must be TOT Certified by the respective Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC) for the relevant job role, as applicable.
2. Educational qualification and relevant industry experience should be as per the applicable NSQF/QP requirements.
3. Candidates with relevant qualifications in Tailoring, Apparel, Fashion Technology, Garment Manufacturing or related fields will be preferred.
4. Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience in sampling tailoring, garment stitching, cutting, pattern/sample development or related apparel operations.
5. Strong practical knowledge of garment sampling, fabric cutting, measurements, stitching, garment construction, trims and quality standards.
6. Good communication, interpersonal and candidate-handling skills.
7. Ability to communicate effectively in Hindi and the local language is preferred.

Key Technical Competencies

1. Understanding and interpretation of garment specifications and technical packages.
2. Garment measurement and sampling techniques.
3. Fabric selection, preparation and cutting.
4. Pattern and sample preparation.
5. Machine and hand stitching techniques.
6. Different garment styles, necklines, sleeves and collars.
7. Garment finishing and sample quality control.
8. Knowledge of sewing machines, tools and equipment.
9. Workplace safety, housekeeping and maintenance of tools/machinery.
10. Ability to provide practical demonstrations and hands-on training.

Key Responsibilities

1. Candidate Counselling
   Counsel candidates regarding the Sampling Tailor job role, training program, career opportunities and employment prospects.
2. Training Delivery
   Deliver theory and practical training as per the curriculum and modules prescribed by the Sector Skill Council.
3. Practical Demonstration
   Provide hands-on demonstrations covering garment sampling, measurements, fabric cutting, stitching, finishing and quality standards.
4. Attendance Monitoring
   Maintain and regularly monitor candidate attendance and ensure maximum participation throughout the training program.
5. Daily MIS Reporting
   Prepare and submit accurate daily MIS reports covering attendance, training progress, practical activities and other required batch information.
6. Pre-Assessment
   Conduct pre-assessment/practice assessments to identify candidate learning gaps and improve their readiness for the final assessment.
7. Assessment & Certification Preparation
   Prepare candidates for the final assessment and certification through revision, practical exercises, mock assessments and continuous performance evaluation.
8. Candidate Motivation
   Motivate candidates to maintain good attendance, achieve good grades and develop the practical skills required for employment.
9. Placement Support
   Encourage candidates to participate in placement activities and guide them regarding relevant employment opportunities in the apparel and garment industry.
10. Result & Training Quality
    Work towards achieving the organization's target of 95% successful assessment/certification results, subject to candidate performance and assessment outcomes.
11. Training Documentation
    Maintain lesson plans, session records, attendance sheets, practical records, assessment preparation records and other required documentation.
12. Batch Management
    Coordinate with the center management and project team to ensure smooth and timely completion of the training program.

Preferred Candidate Profile

A practical and experienced Sampling Tailor / Apparel Trainer who can effectively combine industry knowledge with classroom and hands-on training, guide candidates according to AMHSSC curriculum requirements, and prepare them for successful assessment, certification and placement.
