About the Role

1. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Assistant Electrician (TOT-Certified Trainer) to deliver high-quality technical training to candidates in electrical installation, wiring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and workplace safety.
2. The trainer will be responsible for combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on training and ensuring that trainees develop the required technical competencies as per the prescribed curriculum, qualification pack, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver classroom and practical training for the Assistant Electrician job role.
2. Explain basic electrical concepts, circuits, wiring systems, components, and electrical equipment.
3. Provide hands-on training in electrical installation, wiring, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
4. Demonstrate the correct use of electrical tools, instruments, equipment, and PPE.
5. Train candidates in cable laying, termination, switches, sockets, distribution boards, and earthing systems.
6. Explain electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and basic technical documentation.
7. Train candidates in the safe use of multimeters and other electrical testing instruments.
8. Conduct practical demonstrations and assign hands-on exercises to trainees.
9. Maintain trainee attendance, training records, assessments, and daily/periodic MIS.
10. Monitor trainee performance and provide individual guidance wherever required.
11. Conduct internal assessments, practical evaluations, and mock assessments.
12. Prepare trainees for final assessment and certification.
13. Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and applicable training standards.
14. Maintain a safe, clean, and properly organized practical training environment.
15. Motivate trainees and support them in developing employability and workplace skills.
16. Coordinate with the training centre/project team regarding batch schedules, assessments, and trainee progress.
17. Ensure training delivery is aligned with the approved curriculum and NSQF/Qualification Pack requirements.
18. Support candidates with placement readiness and industry-oriented practical knowledge.

Eligibility

1. ITI/Diploma/Degree in Electrical or a related discipline, as applicable to the project/Qualification Pack.
2. Relevant industry experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or related work.
3. Prior experience as a technical/vocational trainer will be an advantage.
4. TOT Certification as required by the concerned Sector Skill Council/project.
5. Strong communication, presentation, practical demonstration, and classroom management skills.
6. Ability to train candidates through both theoretical and practical methods.

3. Ensure timely completion of training and assessments.
4. Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and MIS records.
