Certification: TOT (Training of Trainers) Certification preferred/mandatory as per project requirements
About the Role
- We are looking for a skilled and experienced Assistant Electrician (TOT-Certified Trainer) to deliver high-quality technical training to candidates in electrical installation, wiring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and workplace safety.
- The trainer will be responsible for combining theoretical knowledge with practical, hands-on training and ensuring that trainees develop the required technical competencies as per the prescribed curriculum, qualification pack, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver classroom and practical training for the Assistant Electrician job role.
- Explain basic electrical concepts, circuits, wiring systems, components, and electrical equipment.
- Provide hands-on training in electrical installation, wiring, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrate the correct use of electrical tools, instruments, equipment, and PPE.
- Train candidates in cable laying, termination, switches, sockets, distribution boards, and earthing systems.
- Explain electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and basic technical documentation.
- Train candidates in the safe use of multimeters and other electrical testing instruments.
- Conduct practical demonstrations and assign hands-on exercises to trainees.
- Maintain trainee attendance, training records, assessments, and daily/periodic MIS.
- Monitor trainee performance and provide individual guidance wherever required.
- Conduct internal assessments, practical evaluations, and mock assessments.
- Prepare trainees for final assessment and certification.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and applicable training standards.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and properly organized practical training environment.
- Motivate trainees and support them in developing employability and workplace skills.
- Coordinate with the training centre/project team regarding batch schedules, assessments, and trainee progress.
- Ensure training delivery is aligned with the approved curriculum and NSQF/Qualification Pack requirements.
- Support candidates with placement readiness and industry-oriented practical knowledge.

Eligibility
- ITI/Diploma/Degree in Electrical or a related discipline, as applicable to the project/Qualification Pack.
- Relevant industry experience in electrical installation, maintenance, or related work.
- Prior experience as a technical/vocational trainer will be an advantage.
- TOT Certification as required by the concerned Sector Skill Council/project.
- Strong communication, presentation, practical demonstration, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to train candidates through both theoretical and practical methods.

- Deliver training as per the approved curriculum and session plans.
- Maintain high trainee engagement and practical competency.
- Ensure timely completion of training and assessments.
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and MIS records.
- Support trainees in achieving successful assessment, certification, and placement outcomes.
