Job Summary

  1. Learnet Skills Limited is looking for a compassionate and motivated Counsellor to support candidates enrolled under Government, CSR, and Sponsored Skill Development Programs. The Counsellor will be responsible for pre-enrollment counselling, career guidance, learner engagement, motivation, and ensuring successful completion of training programs. The role also involves coordinating with mobilization, training, and placement teams to enhance learner outcomes and improve placement readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Pre-Enrollment Counselling
  2. Counsel prospective candidates about sponsored training programs, eligibility criteria, career opportunities, and placement prospects.
    Explain program benefits, training process, documentation requirements, and course expectations.
    Guide candidates in selecting suitable courses based on their educational background and career aspirations.

Career Guidance & Learner Support

  1. Conduct one-on-one and group counselling sessions.
    Assist learners in identifying career goals and suitable employment opportunities.
    Motivate candidates throughout the training journey and improve retention.
  2. Candidate Engagement & Retention
  3. Monitor learner attendance and participation.
    Identify reasons for absenteeism or dropouts and take corrective actions.
    Coordinate with trainers and centre staff to resolve learner concerns.
  4. Placement Readiness
  5. Prepare candidates for interviews through mock interviews and counselling sessions.
    Support resume preparation, communication skills, workplace etiquette, and career planning.
    Coordinate with the Placement Team to ensure candidates are job-ready.
  6. Documentation & MIS
  7. Maintain counselling records, attendance, learner progress, and feedback.
    Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
    Ensure proper documentation as per sponsor and project guidelines.

Stakeholder Coordination

  1. Coordinate with Mobilization Teams, Trainers, Placement Teams, and Project Managers.
    Support community awareness programs, counselling camps, and career guidance sessions.
    Participate in mobilization drives whenever required.
    Educational Qualification
    Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Education, Human Resources, Sociology, or any related discipline.
    Experience
  2. 1–3 years of experience in Counselling, Student Counselling, Career Guidance, Education, Skill Development, CSR Projects, or Government-funded Training Programs.
    Experience in PMKVY, DDU-GKY, CSR, NSDC, or other sponsored skill development projects will be preferred.
    Required Skills
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    Strong counselling and motivational abilities.
    Good presentation and candidate engagement skills.
    Ability to handle learners from diverse backgrounds.
    Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
    Strong documentation and MIS reporting skills.
