Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Programme Manager – Climate Resilience and Sustainability to support the design, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of urban climate resilience and sustainability initiatives. The role will focus on addressing critical urban challenges related to heat resilience, flooding, water security, waste management, climate adaptation, and sustainable urban development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of urban climate resilience and sustainability programmes.
- Develop and support initiatives addressing urban heat, flooding, water security, waste management, and climate risks.
- Conduct climate risk, vulnerability, and resilience assessments to identify priority interventions.
- Support the development of climate adaptation and mitigation strategies for cities and communities.
- Coordinate with government departments, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), NGOs, communities, CSR partners, donors, and technical institutions.
- Develop project plans, work plans, budgets, implementation frameworks, and monitoring systems.
- Monitor programme progress against objectives, timelines, budgets, and performance indicators.
Experience
- Relevant experience in climate change, sustainability, urban resilience, environmental management, disaster risk reduction, or development programmes.
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder programmes involving government, communities, NGOs, donors, CSR partners, or technical organisations.

Education Level : Bachelor's Degree
Technical Education : Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or architecture with specialization in climate sciences
