About the Role
- The Trainer – Shoesmiths (Cobbler) will be responsible for delivering skill training under the Leather Sector as per NSQF-aligned Qualification Pack (LSS/N4106). The trainer must ensure effective learning, assessment readiness, and placement-oriented outcomes for candidates under the PM Vishwakarma scheme.
Eligibility Criteria (As per NSQF & SSC Guidelines)
- Must be TOT (Training of Trainers) Certified by Leather Sector Skill Council
- Minimum 10th / 12th Pass (preferably higher qualification in relevant field)
- Certification in Footwear / Leather Craft / Cobbler Trade preferred
- Minimum 2–5 years of industry experience in footwear making, repairing, or leather work
- Prior experience in skill training / vocational training preferred
- Practical knowledge of shoe repairing, stitching, finishing
- Training and classroom management skills
- Basic computer knowledge for MIS reporting
- Good communication skills (Hindi/local language)
- Conduct counselling and mobilization of candidates
- Deliver training as per SSC-approved curriculum and module
- Ensure daily attendance tracking and discipline
- Maintain and submit daily MIS reports
- Conduct pre-assessment and internal evaluations
- Prepare candidates for final assessment and certification
- Motivate candidates for placement and high performance
- Ensure minimum 95% result and certification success rate
