Position Overview
AISECT is seeking a qualified and experienced Tour Guide Trainer (THC/Q4407) to deliver competency-based training aligned with the standards of the Tourism and Hospitality Sector Skill Council under the NSQF framework. The trainer will play a critical role in ensuring quality training delivery, candidate engagement, assessment readiness, and successful certification outcomes.
Eligibility Criteria (As per NSQF & SSC Norms)
Educational Qualification:
- 10+2 (12th Pass) or equivalent
AND/OR - Certificate / Diploma / Degree in Tourism / Travel / Hospitality / Hotel Management
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in Tourism / Travel / Hospitality
- Minimum 1 year of training/teaching experience in the same domain
Mandatory Certifications:
- TOT (Training of Trainers) Certification from the respective Sector Skill Council
- Certified in Tour Guide (THC/Q4407) Qualification Pack
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct candidate counselling and orientation sessions
- Deliver training as per SSC-approved curriculum and NOS standards
- Monitor and maintain daily attendance records
- Prepare and submit Daily MIS reports
- Conduct pre-assessments and mock evaluations
- Ensure candidates are fully prepared for assessment & certification
- Motivate candidates towards placements and high performance
- Ensure minimum 95% certification success rate
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong knowledge of tourism and hospitality practices
- Proficiency in MIS reporting and basic computer applications
- Ability to mentor, engage, and motivate candidates
Preferred Profile
- Experience in Government Skill Development Projects (PMKVY, DDU-GKY, State Missions)
- Familiarity with SSC guidelines and assessment processes
