About the Role

1. The Trainer – Field Technician (Air Conditioner) is responsible for delivering high-quality, competency-based training on the ELE/Q3102 – Field Technician Air Conditioner (NSQF Level 4) qualification pack. The trainer will counsel candidates, deliver the curriculum as per the Sector Skill Council model modules, monitor performance, and prepare trainees for assessments and certification. The trainer must be TOT (Training of Trainers) certified by the respective Sector Skill Council and possess relevant domain & training experience.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate Counselling & Orientation

1. Conduct career counselling sessions for prospective candidates.
2. Provide clear explanations of job roles, course expectations, and outcomes.

Training Delivery

1. Plan and deliver interactive training sessions as per the SSC-approved curriculum.
2. Use NSQF-aligned lesson plans, practical demonstrations, tools, and hands-on exercises.

Attendance & Discipline

1. Monitor and maintain trainee attendance records.
2. Ensure adherence to training schedules and discipline standards.

Daily MIS & Reporting

1. Prepare and submit Daily MIS reports capturing training progress, attendance, issues, and outcomes to the Centre Coordinator.

Assessments & Pre-Assessment

1. Conduct pre-assessments and continuous evaluations to monitor trainee learning.
2. Provide remedial support to trainees where required.

Assessment & Certification Preparation

1. Prepare candidates for SSC assessments, both theory and practical.
2. Ensure candidates understand assessment guidelines and criteria.

Motivation & Placement Support

1. Motivate trainees to achieve high performance and good grades.
2. Guide and support trainees on employability skills, interview readiness, and workplace expectations.

Result Commitment

1. Commit to achieving a minimum of 95% successful result as per training centre performance norms.

Trainer Education & Qualification (NSQF-Aligned)

Essential Qualifications:

1. TOT Certification from the respective Sector Skill Council (SSC) for the training role.

Domain Qualification:

1. Diploma / ITI / relevant vocational certification in Electrical / Electronics / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / Mechanical or equivalent.
2. Minimum Educational Qualification: SSC norms for Field Technician (usually 8th pass with relevant experience, or higher secondary / ITI / Diploma) acceptable for trainer eligibility.

Experience

1. Industry Experience: Minimum 2+ years relevant industry experience in Air Conditioner installation, troubleshooting, servicing, or related technical field.
2. Training Experience: Preferably 1+ year of experience as a trainer or in vocational training delivery.

Skills & Competencies

1. Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi (local language beneficial).
2. Strong knowledge of refrigeration & air conditioning principles, tools, safety practices, and advanced troubleshooting.
3. Competency in delivering competency-based training.
4. Ability to prepare lesson plans, practical demonstrations, and assessments.
5. Good interpersonal skills, motivational ability, and student mentoring capacity.
