Electric Vehicle Service Technician (ASC/Q1429)
An Electric Vehicle Service Technician is responsible for inspection, diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair of electric vehicles in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, safety standards, and quality norms. The role involves handling high-voltage EV systems, batteries, motors, controllers, and charging systems while ensuring safe and efficient vehicle performance.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect, service, and maintain electric vehicles as per standard operating procedures

Diagnose faults in EV battery, motor, controller, powertrain, and charging systems

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of electric vehicles
-
Follow high-voltage safety protocols and use PPE during EV servicing
-
Test and replace EV batteries, wiring harnesses, and electrical components
-
Use diagnostic tools, scanners, and software for fault identification
-
Inspect and service EV charging systems and connectors
-
Maintain service records, job cards, and maintenance logs
-
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental norms
-
Coordinate with supervisors and report technical issues accurately

Maintain cleanliness and discipline in the workshop area

Educational Qualification
- Minimum 10th / ITI (Automotive / Electrical / Electronics) preferred
- Certified or trained under ASC/Q1429 or equivalent EV qualification
Experience

0–2 years experience in EV servicing or automotive workshop

Freshers with formal EV training may also be considered
