Specialized Sewing Machine Operator (AMH/Q2301)

The Specialized Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for operating advanced industrial sewing machines to stitch, assemble, and finish garment components as per production specifications and quality standards. The role involves handling different fabrics, ensuring accurate stitching, maintaining productivity targets, and adhering to workplace safety and quality norms within the apparel manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operate specialized industrial sewing machines such as lockstitch, overlock, flatlock, and multi-needle machines.
2. Stitch and assemble garment parts according to design specifications, size charts, and production instructions.
3. Ensure quality stitching, seam strength, alignment, and finishing as per quality standards.
4. Perform machine setup, adjustment, and basic maintenance before and during operations.
5. Identify and rectify minor stitching defects and machine-related issues.
6. Follow production schedules and meet output targets without compromising quality.
7. Handle fabrics carefully to avoid damage, wastage, or defects.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
9. Comply with health, safety, and workplace discipline norms.
10. Coordinate with supervisors and quality inspectors for smooth production flow.

2. Freshers with formal training may also be considered
