Job Description: Retail Store Manager
Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager – ToT Trainer is responsible for delivering Training of Trainers (ToT) programs for Retail Store Management roles. The trainer will prepare, mentor, and upskill trainers and candidates on retail operations, store management practices, customer service, sales performance, and team leadership in line with industry standards and NSQF guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) programs for Retail Store Manager roles
- Deliver classroom and practical training on retail store operations
- Train participants on sales management, inventory control, and store administration
- Develop and use training materials, presentations, and case studies
- Train on customer handling, service excellence, and complaint resolution
- Explain visual merchandising and store layout planning concepts
- Guide trainers on POS systems, billing, cash handling, and reporting
- Mentor trainees on team leadership, staff supervision, and performance management
- Assess trainees through tests, assignments, role plays, and practical evaluations
- Maintain attendance, assessment records, and MIS reports
- Ensure compliance with NSDC/SSC/Skill India standards
- Support placement readiness and industry best practices
Key Skills Required

- Training & facilitation skills (ToT experience preferred)

Educational Qualification
- Graduate / Diploma in Retail Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Relevant Retail Store Management experience is mandatory
- Certified Trainer / ToT certification preferred
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Retail Store Operations
- Prior experience as Trainer / ToT Trainer will be an added advantage

Lansdowne Cantonment falls in the heart of Distt Pauri Garhwal of Uttarakhand State. In 1886 on the recommendation of Field Marshal Sir FS Roberts, C-in-C India, it was decided to raise a separate Regiment of the Garhwalis.The spot which was virgin forest, popularly known as Kalundanda, situated about 6000 feet high, was approved for the location of the Cantonment & the Regiment by Brig Gen JI Murray, GOC, Rohilkhand Distt. Kalundanda comprised largely of Oak and Rhododendron forest which assumed a darkish tinge particularly when viewed from distance in the grey, foggy weather that often prevailed here; thus named Kalundanda.On 21 September 1890 Kalundanda was renamed as Lansdowne after the then viceroy of India, Lord Henry Lansdowne. The 1st Battalion of the Garhwal Rifles, under Lt Col EP Mainwaring moved into Kalundanda on 4th Nov 1887. They did their share of the work in connecting their temporary Camp on Post Office Parade Ground with main Parade Ground. Mainwaring lines were the first set of barracks constructed by the troops of Garhwal Rifles. Thus the new lines were named after the first Commanding Officer as “Mainwaring Linesâ€.Today, Lansdowne Cantonment has the Training Centre of Garhwal Rifles Regiment.Lansdowne lies on the route to famous tourist places like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Hemkund Sahib, Valley of Flowers and Corbett National Park.Surrounded by thick Oak and Pine forests, Lansdowne is a very charming place for a quiet holiday as it is devoid of the usual hustle and bustle of other stations. Lansdowne has scenic beauty and good surroundings. The pine and oak trees provide a healthy climate. The Cantt Board keeps the town fresh as a daisy.
The Motto of Cantonment Board of Lansdowne is, to provide civic services to the civil residents of Lansdowne Cantt, like sanitation, water supply, medical facilities, education, street lighting, public urinals, cleaning, and maintain Cantt fund, properties, such as public roads, buildings, parks etc. It functions under the provisions of the Cantt Act 2006.Year of establishment of Lansdowne Cantonment– 1887
