Job Title: Trainer – Electronic Hardware Assembly Operator (ELE/Q6605)

Role Overview

We are seeking a competent and motivated Trainer for the ELE/Q6605 – Electronic Hardware Assembly Operator course. The Trainer will deliver training aligned to the curriculum developed by the relevant Sector Skill Council under the framework of National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF). The Trainer must be TOT-certified for the job role or meet alternate NSQF-compliant eligibility criteria, and will be responsible for counselling, training, monitoring and ensuring high pass rates and placement support for trainees.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective candidates: assess their aptitude, guide them on the course content, career prospects, expectations, and commit them to training.
• Conduct training sessions as per the module curriculum designed by the Sector Skill Council (for ELE/Q6605), covering both theory and hands-on hardware assembly skills.
• Monitor and record trainee attendance.
• Maintain daily MIS (Management Information System) reports on training progress, attendance, batch details, issues, etc.
• Conduct pre-assessments of candidates to gauge readiness and baseline competencies.
• Prepare candidates for formal assessment and certification under the appropriate awarding body/SSC standards.
• Motivate and coach candidates to achieve good grades, proficiency, and readiness for employment.
• Strive to ensure a high success rate — target 95% result guarantee for the batch (i.e., trainees passing assessments / certification).
• Provide support and guidance for placement — help trainees prepare for job interviews / placement opportunities; counsel them on expectations, workplace discipline, growth, etc.

Trainer Qualification & Eligibility Criteria (as per NSQF / Vocational Training norms)

As per guidelines generally followed under NSQF-aligned programmes:

• Must be TOT-certified for the job role (Electronic Hardware Assembly Operator / relevant QP) by the respective Sector Skill Council — this ensures standardized competency for trainers.
• Alternately (if TOT certification is not available), the trainer may be eligible if they have adequate industry experience in the relevant field (working as hardware assembler / technician / electronics manufacturing) — typically minimum 5 years’ relevant industrial experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of electronics hardware assembly, components, PCB handling, soldering, wiring, testing, etc., sufficient to teach and supervise practical workshops.
• Good communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills — to guide and motivate trainees, especially those from non-formal or non-academic backgrounds.
• Familiarity with NSQF framework, vocational pedagogy, modular curriculum delivery, assessment protocols and certification requirements under the concerned Sector Skill Council / awarding body.
• Ability to maintain records, MIS reports, attendance logs and follow institutional and regulatory compliance related to training delivery.
• Commitment to trainee success and placement — monitor performance and support until employment or job readiness.

Additional Expectations

• Maintain trainer-to-trainee ratio per batch as recommended (depending on batch size) to ensure effective hands-on training.
• Conduct mock tests / practical evaluation / pre-assessment before formal certification.
• Provide counselling and support to trainees on career pathways, soft skills, workplace discipline, and placement readiness.
• Cooperate with the management and assessment agencies for coordination of certification, assessments, result tracking and placement facilitation.
