Job Summary
The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC press brake machines to bend and form steel plates as per technical specifications. The role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret fabrication drawings to produce high-quality output.
Key Responsibilities
1. Machine Operation & Setup
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines for bending and forming steel plates.
- Configure machine settings, tools, and dies based on job requirements.
- Perform routine machine start-up, calibration, and shutdown procedures.
2. Drawing Interpretation & Technical Accuracy
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, bend angles, and dimensional requirements.
- Ensure machine operations align with technical drawings and specifications.
- Adjust machine parameters to achieve precise bends and shapes.
3. Quality Control & Inspection
- Inspect finished components for quality, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish.
- Identify and correct defects or deviations from specifications.
- Maintain compliance with company quality standards and safety guidelines.
4. Machine Maintenance & Safety
- Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machines.
- Ensure machines are clean, lubricated, and functioning properly.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of CNC press brake machine operation.
- Ability to read engineering/fabrication drawings.
- Understanding of steel plate bending, forming, and machining processes.
- Precision, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good communication skills and discipline in following procedures.
