Job Summary

The Assistant Beauty Therapist Trainer will be responsible for delivering high-quality skill training to candidates under the JSDM project as per the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) and guidelines of the Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (BWSSC). The Trainer will guide and mentor candidates through theoretical and practical learning modules, ensuring industry-relevant competencies, motivation for assessment and placement, and a minimum 95% certification success rate. The role also includes candidate counselling, classroom management, attendance tracking, and timely reporting through MIS.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel and guide candidates about the program, career opportunities, and growth paths in the beauty & wellness sector.
• Deliver training sessions as per BWSSC curriculum aligned with QP BWS/Q0101, covering both theory and hands-on practical modules.
• Monitor and record daily attendance; ensure discipline and active participation of trainees.
• Submit daily MIS reports including session details, attendance, and progress updates.
• Conduct pre-assessment of candidates to evaluate their knowledge and skill gaps.
• Prepare candidates for assessment and certification by conducting mock tests, practical evaluations, and revision sessions.
• Motivate and mentor candidates to achieve good grades and successful placements.
• Ensure a 95% result guarantee through effective teaching methods and regular progress tracking.
• Maintain updated training documentation including trainee portfolios, practical logs, and feedback forms.
• Coordinate with assessment bodies, placement partners, and project teams for smooth execution of training and placement.

Trainer Education, Qualification & Experience (as per NSQF / BWSSC guidelines)

• Educational Qualification: Minimum 12th pass with Diploma in Beauty or Cosmetology (minimum 6 months duration) as per BWSSC guidelines.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of practical experience in the beauty & wellness industry (salon/spa) and at least 1 year of training experience.
• TOT Certification: Must be TOT Certified by the Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council (BWSSC) or respective SSC.
• Preferred: Strong exposure to NSQF-aligned training delivery, experience with government skill projects, and proven ability to achieve high trainee success rates.

Required Skills & Attributes

• In-depth knowledge of beauty & wellness services such as skincare, haircare, makeup, and salon hygiene.
• Strong presentation and demonstration skills with the ability to engage trainees effectively.
• Excellent communication and counselling skills (Hindi & English).
• Competent in maintaining training records, MIS, and learner progress reports.
• Passionate about mentoring youth and ensuring successful certification and placement.
• Proactive, organized, and results-driven with a focus on quality and compliance.
