Job Summary:

LAPYRAMID HOSPITALITIES PVT. LTD. is seeking skilled and enthusiastic Commis (Commi 1/2/3) to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in kitchen operations, strong knowledge of food preparation, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Assist in preparing ingredients (chopping, cutting, marinating, portioning, etc.) as per the menu and standard recipes.
  • Cook or heat frozen ready-to-cook items as directed, ensuring correct temperature and presentation.
  • Follow recipe cards and portion control guidelines to maintain consistency.
  • Ensure mise-en-place is ready before each service period.

2. Quality & Food Safety

  • Maintain proper handling of food as per HACCP and FSSAI standards.
  • Check temperature, expiry, and condition of frozen and chilled products.
  • Store food properly in designated areas to avoid contamination or wastage.
  • Report any quality issues or deviations to the Chef immediately.

3. Hygiene & Cleanliness

  • Keep workstation clean and sanitized before, during, and after every shift.
  • Follow kitchen cleaning schedules — including equipment, storage, and prep areas.
  • Wear proper PPE (gloves, apron, cap, shoes) at all times.
  • Ensure waste is segregated and disposed of correctly.

4. Equipment & Tools

  • Handle all kitchen tools and equipment safely and correctly.
  • Clean and store equipment properly after use.
  • Report any equipment faults or damages to the Chef or Stewarding team.

5. Coordination & Communication

  • Work closely with Chef de Partie and colleagues to ensure smooth service.
  • Communicate clearly during service to maintain efficiency and avoid delays.
  • Support other sections (cold, hot, pastry, etc.) when required.

6. Learning & Development

  • Participate in on-the-job training sessions conducted by senior chefs.
  • Learn recipes, plating techniques, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to grow within the team.

7. Other Duties

  • Assist in stock rotation and inventory management.
  • Maintain portion and wastage records as required.
  • Perform any other task assigned by the Chef or Management.
