Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled CNC Operator to join our team in Kharagpur. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in operating and maintaining CNC machines used in heavy steel fabrication. The candidate must ensure production efficiency, precision, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and set up CNC machines (cutting, drilling, milling, or turning) as per production requirements.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, job specifications, and process sheets accurately.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and quality.
- Conduct regular machine inspections and perform basic maintenance to ensure smooth operation.
- Measure finished components using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Coordinate with supervisors and quality teams to meet daily and monthly production targets.
- Record machine operation data and report any equipment malfunctions or quality deviations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Machinist, or CNC Operation, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating CNC machines in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with CNC programming (Fanuc, Siemens, or other controllers) preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and measuring instruments.
- Ability to handle heavy fabrication components and precision machining tasks.
- Good problem-solving attitude and commitment to quality workmanship
