Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our Heavy Steel Fabrication unit in Kharagpur. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, machinery wiring, and preventive maintenance. The role involves ensuring uninterrupted electrical operations, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, control panels, motors, and lighting systems.
- Conduct regular inspection and preventive maintenance of electrical equipment and tools.
- Diagnose electrical faults, perform troubleshooting, and implement corrective actions.
- Support installation and commissioning of new machines and fabrication equipment.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and electrical safety standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance schedules, reports, and repair records.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve electrical issues promptly.
- Monitor power usage and suggest measures for energy efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical Trade or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrician in industrial or fabrication environments.
- Strong knowledge of industrial wiring, motor control circuits, and electrical panels.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and circuit diagrams.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, lockout/tagout systems, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Good communication skills and teamwork abilities.
