Job Title: Trainer – Housekeeping Trainee (THC/Q0209)

Company: Impression Service

Location: Sitamarhi, Bihar (Interview mode: Online)

Reporting To: Training Manager / Centre Head

About the Role

As a certified Trainer for the THC/Q0209 Housekeeping Trainee program, you will deliver skill development training in accordance with the module curriculum prescribed by the Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC). You will coach, assess, mentor, and support candidates through the training cycle to ensure high results and strong placement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Counselling & Induction
    • Interact with prospective trainees, explain course objectives, eligibility, outcomes, and expectations
    • Guide candidates prior to enrolment, set expectations, clarify doubts
  2. Training Delivery
    • Deliver theory & practical sessions as per THC/Q0209 curriculum designed by THSC
    • Prepare lesson plans, training aids, presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises
    • Ensure alignment with National Occupational Standards (NOS) and performance criteria
  3. Attendance & Monitoring
    • Maintain daily attendance records
    • Follow up with absentee trainees, ensure consistency
  4. Daily MIS & Reporting
    • Submit daily MIS reports (progress, issues, learning gaps, candidate status)
    • Track metrics like attendance, performance, dropouts, etc.
  5. Pre-assessment
    • Conduct regular pre-assessments (theory / practical) to gauge learner readiness
    • Identify weak areas; provide remedial sessions as needed
  6. Assessment & Certification Preparation
    • Guide candidates to prepare for final assessments conducted by assessment agencies
    • Facilitate mock tests, viva voce, practical demonstrations
    • Liaise with assessment agencies as per SSC protocols
  7. Motivation & Placement Support
    • Mentor & encourage candidates to maintain discipline, commitment, and learning attitude
    • Prepare and support in resume writing, mock interviews, soft skills
    • Promote high grades and placement readiness
  8. Ensure High Performance Outcome
    • Aim for 95% or higher successful result rate among trainees
    • Monitor quality of training delivery, continuously improve methods
  9. Other Duties
    • Coordinate with SSC / assessment agency for audits, compliance
    • Ensure training infrastructure, tools, materials are available and in working condition
    • Any other tasks assigned by management or SSC

Qualification & Experience (as per NSQF / SSC / THSC norms)

Below is a suggested minimum qualification and experience, aligned loosely with NSQF / SSC norms and best practices. You should validate and adapt these in line with the specific SST / SSC / THSC requirements:

Graduation / Post-Graduation OR Diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality / Vocational Education / Education / Commerce / Arts / any relevant discipline

Trainer / Certification

Must be TOT (Training of Trainers) certified by the relevant Sector Skill Council / SSC

Experience

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in hospitality / housekeeping operations / facility management, with at least 2 years of training / instructional / coaching experience (vocational training / ITI / skill centres)

Knowledge / Skills

Strong domain knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning standards, hygiene, safety protocols, guest etiquette; ability to design and deliver training; strong communication & presentation skills; understanding SSC norms, NOS, assessment protocols

Other Attributes

Good interpersonal skills, mentoring aptitude, ability to motivate, result oriented, comfortable with MIS / reporting

  • Excellent communication skills (Hindi, English, local language)

  • Capability to handle diverse learners, varying aptitude

Key Metrics / KPIs

  • Attendance rate of trainees
  • Number of dropouts
  • Pre-assessment vs final assessment improvements
  • Pass rate (target ≥ 95%)
  • Placement conversion and time to placement
  • Feedback from candidates, SSC audits, external assessments

Working Conditions

  • The role will largely involve on-campus training sessions (in Siwan), but initial interviews and some coordination may occur online
  • You may need to coordinate with assessment agencies, SSC auditors, and external stakeholders
  • You will coordinate logistics, training aids, and materials

Certificate : TOT Certified in Housekeeping Trainee

Industrial Certificate : Experience
