Role Summary
The Trainer will deliver training under the Hydrocarbon Sector Skill Council’s Qualification Pack (QP) HYC/Q6101 – Industrial Electrician (Oil & Gas). The trainer is responsible for counselling, delivering modules as per the sector curriculum, preparing candidates for assessment and certification, ensuring high attendance, high performance (result), and motivating candidates toward successful placement.
Key Responsibilities
- Counselling candidates before enrolment: explain course content, requirements, outcomes, expectations.
- Deliver training to candidates according to the module curriculum designed by the Sector Skill Council (HSSCI), aligned with NSQF standards for Industrial Electrician (Oil & Gas) HYC/Q6101.
- Monitor attendance of trainees; ensure minimum required attendance for all modules.
- Prepare and submit daily MIS (Management Information System) reports on training progress (attendance, issues, daily plan vs actual).
- Conduct pre-assessments / diagnostic assessments to gauge candidates’ starting level.
- Prepare candidates for certification assessments; conduct mock tests / practical readiness.
- Motivate and coach candidates toward good grades and to be successful in assessments.
- Facilitate placement readiness: soft skills, interview prep, workplace readiness.
- Strive to deliver 95% result guarantee (i.e. 95% of candidates should pass assessment / certification).
Required Qualifications & Experience (As per NSQF / SSC / HYC/Q6101 & ToT norms)
You will want to ensure the candidate meets both domain qualification for Industrial Electrician (Oil & Gas) and Trainer / ToT certification. Based on public documents:
- Must be ToT certified by the relevant Sector Skill Council.
- Educational Qualification: Preferably Diploma / Trade Certificate / National Trade Certificate (NTC) / relevant qualification in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field.
- Must have substantive industry experience in Industrial Electrical work, especially in oil & gas sector (installations, wiring, maintenance, safety, etc.).
- Also, some experience in teaching / training / vocational instruction: ability to deliver competencyâ€based training.
- Good understanding of NSQF Level 4 criteria, the Industry’s NOS / QP structure (for HYC/Q6101).
- Strong communication skills in local language and English.
