About the Role
As a Trainer for the trade Assistant Bar Bender & Steel Fixer (CON/Q0202), you will deliver training as per the Sector Skill Council’s curriculum, ensure high pass rates, and support learners through counselling, assessment, and placement motivation. You must be TOT (Training of Trainers) certified by the relevant Sector Skill Council, and meet the NSQF-aligned trainer qualification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Counselling & Mobilization
- Conduct counselling sessions for prospective candidates (explaining course, career path, expectations)
- Select/shortlist candidates based on eligibility and aptitude

- Training Delivery
- Deliver theory and practical sessions according to the Module / Model Curriculum designed by the Sector Skill Council (CSDCI)
- Use appropriate training aids, tools, equipment, and safety protocols
- Continuously update and refine training materials

- Attendance & Discipline
- Monitor attendance regularly
- Ensure learner discipline and participation

- Daily MIS & Reporting
- Maintain a daily MIS (Management Information System) report (attendance, progress, issues)
- Submit daily/weekly reports to Centre management

- Pre-Assessment & Mock Tests
- Conduct pre-assessments / mock tests to gauge candidate readiness
- Identify weak areas and prepare remedial plans

- Assessment & Certification Preparation
- Prepare candidates for final assessments (internal & external)
- Liaise with assessors and the Sector Skill Council for certification logistics

- Mentor and motivate candidates to achieve good grades
- Guide learners about placement opportunities, soft skills, employability
