Job Title: Trainer – Guest Service Associate (Front Office) (THC/Q0102)

Location: Vaishali, Bihar (Interview mode: Online)

Reporting to: Training Manager / Head of Training


Job Purpose / Role Summary

The Trainer will be responsible for training candidates in line with the Qualification Pack (QP) THC/Q0102 for Guest Service Associate (Front Office) as per NSQF Level 4, ensuring high standards of learning, assessment readiness, attendance and certification. The Trainer must be TOT (Training of Trainers) certified by the relevant Sector Skill Council and must help ensure almost 95% result assurance.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Candidate Counselling
    • Conduct pre-training counselling for candidates: eligibility, course expectations, outcomes.
    • Help candidates understand the demands of the job role and motivate them toward success.
  2. Training Delivery
    • Deliver theory & practical sessions as per the module curriculum designed by the Sector Skill Council (THC).
    • Use appropriate training aids, role-plays, simulations, etc.
    • Ensure Health, Hygiene, Safety, Service Standards & all NOS (National Occupational Standards) modules are covered.
  3. Monitoring Attendance and Discipline
    • Maintain attendance records.
    • Ensure punctuality, discipline, and maintenance of learning environment among trainees.
  4. Daily MIS Reporting
    • Submit daily reports covering attendance, class progress, issues, planned vs. achieved tasks.
  5. Pre-Assessment
    • Conduct pre-assessment of candidates to identify learning gaps.
    • Use the results of pre-assessment to adapt / plan remedial sessions.
  6. Assessment & Certification Preparation
    • Prepare trainees for final assessments by the Sector Skill Council / Assessing Agency.
    • Organize mocks, revision, practical and theory practice.
  7. Motivation for Placement & Good Grades
    • Encourage trainees to aim for high grades and assist them to get job placements.
    • Provide soft skills, interview preparation, grooming, etc.
  8. Result Guarantee
    • Target: Ensure 95% pass rate.
    • Implement quality checks, remedial support to achieve the target.

Educational Qualification, Trainer Qualification & Experience

Based on NSQF, THSC / THC requirements for Trainer of Guest Service Associate (Front Office) (THC/Q0102). The following is aligned with THSC model curriculum, Qualification Pack v5.0 etc.

Criteria

Minimum Requirement

Educational Qualification

Degree / Diploma in Hotel / Hospitality Management, Front Office Management or equivalent. Some variation allowed if strong related experience.

TOT Certification

Must be TOT (Training of Trainers) certified by the respective Sector Skill Council (i.e. Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council, etc.) for domain “Guest Service Associate (Front Office)” or equivalent.

Industry Experience

At least 5 years of work experience in hotel front office / guest services / hospitality operations in relevant role.

Training / Teaching Experience

Minimum 1 year as trainer or instructor in hospitality / front office domain. (Could be classroom or on-job training).

Age

Preferably 18+ (though this is for trainees’ entry, trainer may need to be mature, but not necessarily specified)


Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent communication skills (English & local languages); good presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and counsel candidates
  • Good understanding of Hospitality / Front Office process: check-in / check-out, reservation, guest services, billing etc.
  • Ability to use training tools, digital aids, simulations.
  • Attention to detail, discipline, punctuality, professional grooming.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information, guest privacy standards.
  • Soft skills: customer orientation, service mindset, empathy, problem solving.

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • % attendance of candidates
  • Completion of modules as per schedule
  • Daily MIS reporting – accuracy & timeliness
  • Pre-assessment outcomes & improvement of trainees
  • Final assessment pass rate (target ≥ 95%)
  • % of candidates achieving good grade (e.g., above defined cutoffs)
  • % of candidates placed in jobs
