Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Engineer to join our team at Auto Lubes & Engines. The ideal candidate must hold an ITI/Diploma (Electrical or Mechanical) and have strong technical knowledge in servicing, repairing, and maintaining generator sets (gensets) and industrial engines. The candidate should be intelligent, hardworking, soft-skilled, and capable of working independently at customer sites.

The role involves troubleshooting, routine servicing, overhauling of gensets and engines, and providing technical support to customers for ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance, and overhauling of gensets and industrial engines (diesel/petrol).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults in engines and generator systems.
• Replace, repair, or calibrate engine parts such as pistons, bearings, injectors, valves, filters, fuel systems, etc.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new gensets and engines at customer locations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Maintain service reports, job cards, and documentation for work carried out.
• Provide technical guidance and training to customers on the operation, upkeep, and safe handling of gensets.
• Coordinate with the service team for spare parts planning and service schedules.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualification: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Prior experience in servicing gensets/engines is mandatory.
• Technical Skills:
  • Sound knowledge of internal combustion engines (diesel/petrol).
  • Understanding of electrical systems related to DG sets.
  • Ability to read and interpret service manuals and technical diagrams.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Customer-focused approach with good communication skills.
  • Hardworking, reliable, and willing to travel for field service support.
