About the Role
As a Trainer for Electric Vehicle Service Technician (ASC/Q1429), you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training in accordance with the module curriculum designed by the Automotive Skills Development Council (ASC), ensuring that all trainees are well equipped to meet assessment, certification, and placement outcomes. The Trainer must be ToT (Training of Trainers) certified by the relevant Sector Skill Council.
Key Responsibilities
- Counselling Candidates
- Engage with prospective trainees, explain course details, career prospects, expectations, etc.
- Assess candidates for suitability, prerequisites (educational background, experience) and motivate them.

- Training Delivery
- Deliver training per ASC/Q1429 module curriculum (theory + practical + on-job/onsite components) aligned with NOS & NSQF Level 4 standard.
- Use appropriate instructional methodologies, tools, and aids.

- Attendance & Discipline Monitoring
- Track and monitor trainee attendance.
- Ensure discipline, safety, and compliance with workshop norms.

- Daily MIS (Management Information System) Reporting
- Prepare and submit daily reports on training progress, attendance, issues, etc.

- Pre-assessment
- Conduct periodic internal assessments (theory/practical) to gauge trainee readiness.

- Preparation for Assessment & Certification
- Prepare trainees for formal assessments/certifications conducted by the Sector Skill Council or assessment agency.
- Organize mock tests/practical’s, resolve doubts, ensure all required documentation.

- Motivation & Placement Support
- Motivate trainees to achieve good grades.
- Assist with career guidance and job placement preparations (resume, interview, soft skills).

- Deep technical knowledge of EV systems: batteries, motors, electronics, diagnostics, safety, etc.
- Strong practical skills: able to demonstrate repair, diagnostic procedures, etc.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills, ability to explain technical terms clearly.
- Ability to motivate, mentor and manage a batch of trainees.
- Good organizational, planning, and reporting skills (for MIS etc.).
- Commitment to achieving high results, quality, safety, and discipline.
