Job Role Summary
The Trainer – Assistant Shuttering Carpenter (CON/Q0302) will deliver high-quality, competency-based training as per the Sector Skill Council’s curriculum and NSQF guidelines. This role demands effective counselling of candidates, delivery of theoretical and practical sessions, rigorous assessment preparation, daily performance and MIS tracking, and strong motivation towards achieving at least a 95% certification result and facilitating successful job placements.

Mandatory Certifications
- Domain Certification: Certified for the Assistant Shuttering Carpenter job role (CON/Q0302 Version 2.0) — minimum 80% score in certification
- Platform (TOT) Certification: Certified as a Trainer mapped to QP: MEP/Q2601 — minimum 80% score
Educational Qualifications & Experience (NSQF-aligned)
One of the following pathways is required
- Technical Degree (e.g., B.Tech): Minimum 3 years of field experience, plus preferably 2 years of teaching/training experience.
- Diploma: Minimum 5 years of field experience, plus preferably 2 years of teaching/training experience.
- ITI or 12th Pass: Minimum 8 years of field experience, plus preferably 2 years of teaching/training experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Counselling Candidates – Provide guidance on job role expectations, skill requirements, and training pathway.
- Training Delivery – Conduct theory and practical sessions per SSC-approved curriculum (CON/Q0302).
- Attendance Monitoring – Maintain accurate daily attendance and ensure trainee discipline.
- Daily MIS Reporting – Prepare and submit detailed MIS reports on trainee progress, attendance, and training outcomes.
- Pre-Assessment – Conduct preliminary assessments to determine starting skill levels.
- Assessment & Certification Preparation – Prepare and guide trainees for SSC assessments, aligning with NOS/skills standards.
- Motivation & Placement Support – Encourage trainees for good grades and assist them towards placement opportunities.
- Result Guarantee – Strive to achieve a minimum of 95% certification success rate among trainees.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong domain knowledge of shuttering carpentry tasks: handling tools, making shutter boards, assembling and dismantling formwork, scaffolding (up to 3.6 m), and adherence to safety norms .
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to motivate and mentor trainees.
- Proficient in preparing and analyzing training MIS and reports.
- Highly organized, with a keen focus on quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
- Team-oriented, committed to learner employability and success.
