Job Description

The Business Development Executive (BDE) will be responsible for driving sales growth, customer engagement, and product penetration across assigned territories. The role demands strong knowledge of automotive parts (EGL, DEF, PMS parts), excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to achieve daily/weekly/monthly sales targets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve daily/weekly sales targets (value & volume) for assigned parts (EGL, DEF, PMS, etc.).
  • Drive penetration and placement of fast-moving and periodic maintenance service parts at counters.
  • Maximize daily billed customers and ensure 80% customer target achievement every month.
  • Ensure monthly closing 1 day before month-end to maintain reporting accuracy.
  • Appoint new customers as per assigned targets and expand customer base.
  • Conduct parts display activities at 5 retailer counters per month and collect at least 2 customer testimonials.
  • Drive month-on-month growth in active customers (90% of billed customers must remain active).
  • Analyze causes of sales returns, damages, defaults; take corrective actions and inform Business Heads & Warehouse Managers.
  • Collect orders for slow-moving parts on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare & ensure 100% adherence to Permanent Journey Plans (PJP) of BDEs/DGEs based on business potential.
  • Plan and conduct mechanic training programs to increase product awareness.
  • Analyze and blacklist defaulters, share updates with Business Heads of other business units.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualification: Post Graduate (MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience in Sales/Business Development (Automotive/Parts industry preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of automotive spare parts sales, channel management, and customer handling.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), reporting & analytics.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as per business needs.
