Job Overview:

Thakur Publication Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Sales Executive with a strong background in educational sales and marketing. The candidate will be responsible for generating business opportunities by visiting colleges and universities, promoting products, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospecting, researching, and generating new market opportunities.
  • Visit colleges/universities to make product presentations and build business relationships.
  • Identify potential institutions for lead generation and convert them into orders.
  • Advise clients on new product developments and promotions of books.
  • Increase company’s market share and revenue growth through effective sales strategies.
  • Maintain regular interaction with key clients to ensure retention, extraction, and expansion.
  • Manage supply and distribution of books/products to institutions and partners.
  • Handle payment collection from wholesalers, retailers, and colleges, and deposit in company’s account.
  • Prepare invoices and follow up on payments/collections with clients and accounts department.
  • Maintain database of proposals, leads, and relevant market data for reporting.
  • Track and update stock related to specimen copies, bills, and order supplies.
  • Manage cash book, expenditures (if any), and submit monthly reports to Head Office.
  • Report sales performance, targets, and marketing activities to Head Office regularly.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum Qualification: Graduate (any stream).
  • Proven work experience as a Sales Executive, preferably in publishing/education sector.
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes, client relationship management, and educational product marketing.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to achieve targets and work under pressure.
  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Email, Internet, CRM tools).
  • Willingness to travel frequently for field visits.
