Job Purpose
The Manufacturing Operator will be responsible for assembling mobile phone components and subassemblies in a mobile manufacturing unit. The role requires precision, adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintaining high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment used in mobile phone assembly (e.g., screen fitting, battery installation, camera module attachment).
- Assemble components accurately according to technical instructions and quality standards.
- Perform visual inspections and basic functional tests on completed assemblies.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols, workplace hygiene, and 5S standards.
- Maintain accurate production records and promptly escalate issues to the supervisor.
- Support logistics, stock handling, and inventory management within the mobile unit.
- Conduct routine cleaning, calibration, and basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Assist in setup, operation, and teardown of mobile unit operations as needed.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste, improve cycle time, and enhance productivity.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 12th Pass with strong knowledge of manufacturing/assembly operations.
- Prior experience as a Manufacturing Operator or in electronic/mobile assembly preferred.
- Good understanding of assembly tools, fixtures, and testing equipment.
- Ability to read and follow SOPs, diagrams, and technical instructions.
- Basic computer literacy for reporting and record-keeping.
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
- Physically fit to perform repetitive tasks in a production setting.
