Qualifications, Education & Experience

As per the Model Curriculum and Sector Skill Council (Construction SDCI / BSDM) guidelines for Assistant Electrician (CON/Q0602, NSQF Level 3):

• Educational Qualifications (choose according to candidate’s profile):
  • Postgraduate or Graduate in Engineering (e.g., M.Tech or B.Tech in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical) with 1 year of relevant construction electrical works experience
  • Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Civil/Mechanical) with 2 years of relevant experience
  • ITI in a relevant trade, Ex-Army, or 12th pass (B.A./B.Sc./General) with 4 years of experience as a construction electrician or in supervisory roles in electrical works
• Trainer Certification (Mandatory):
  • Must be TOT-certified by the respective Sector Skill Council.
  • Must have achieved a minimum 80% score in each NOS and overall, in the “Assistant Electrician (CON/Q0602)” Qualification Pack, plus 80% in the Trainer (VET & Skills) certification (e.g., MEP/Q2601)
  • Assessment must be performed by a ToA-certified assessor

Key Responsibilities

1. Candidate Counselling
   Guide and counsel aspiring trainees on course aims, entry requirements, career prospects, & commitment needed.
2. Training Delivery
   Deliver structured training as per Sector Skill Council’s curriculum for Assistant Electrician, covering all relevant modules and NOS components.
3. Attendance Monitoring
   Track and manage trainee attendance; ensure compliance with minimum attendance norms for certification eligibility.
4. Daily MIS Reporting
   Prepare and submit daily Management Information System (MIS) reports, capturing attendance, module progress, issues, and key observations.
5. Pre-Assessment & Mock Tests
   Conduct periodic pre-assessments to gauge trainee understanding; offer targeted feedback and interventions.
6. Assessment Preparation & Certification
   Organize and prepare trainees — both theoretically and practically — for final assessments; coordinate with ToA assessors for certification delivery.
7. Placement & Performance Motivation
   Encourage trainees to excel academically and competitively; support them in job readiness, placement opportunities, and achieving good grades.
8. Result Guarantee
   Drive training excellence to ensure a minimum of 95% pass rate, through rigorous training delivery, remedial support, and focused mentorship.
