About Shivam Foundation
Shivam Foundation is dedicated to empowering individuals at the grassroots level through skill development, education, and livelihood promotion. We are looking for a passionate and certified Self-Employed Tailor Trainer to help build sustainable livelihoods through vocational training in the apparel sector.
Eligibility Criteria (As per NSQF – AMH/Q1947 Level 4):
Educational Qualification (Any one of the following):
- 12th Grade Pass
- Preferably a Diploma or Certificate in Tailoring, Fashion Design, Apparel Construction or related fields
Professional Certification:
- TOT Certified Trainer under Apparel Made-Ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council (AMHSSC) for QP AMH/Q1947 – Mandatory
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience in tailoring, garment making, or fashion/apparel production
- Minimum 1 year of experience in training or teaching tailoring preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Empowering Hands, Stitching Futures
Conduct practical and theoretical sessions on tailoring, stitching, fabric cutting, and garment finishing. - Livelihood Through Skill, Pride Through Precision
Teach trainees the art of tailoring with an emphasis on quality, finishing, and productivity for self-employment or job placement. - Tailoring with Purpose
Deliver training as per NSQF-aligned AMHSSC QP-NOS with structured lesson plans and assessments. - Grassroots to Garments
Enable learners from underprivileged backgrounds to develop market-relevant tailoring skills and entrepreneurial mindset. - A Stitch in Time for Social Change
Track and mentor each trainee's learning progress, maintain batch documentation, and prepare them for sustainable income generation.
Essential Skills:
- Strong tailoring expertise including cutting, sewing, pattern making, and finishing
- Effective communication and classroom facilitation skills
- Experience in delivering hands-on practical sessions
- Ability to connect with rural and semi-urban youth
- Basic digital literacy for documentation and online reporting
Education Qualification
Education Level : High School Diploma or Equivalent
Technical Education : Diploma
Certificate : TOT Certified in Self Employed Trailor
Industrial Certificate : Experience
