Role Overview
As a Data Scientist at Monster.com, you will harness the power of data to solve complex problems, uncover actionable insights, and help steer the strategic direction of our products and services. Working closely with cross-functional tech teams, your work will directly impact how we personalize job discovery, optimize search and recommendation engines, and elevate customer experiences across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze massive datasets from job search platforms, user interactions, and recruitment funnels to derive actionable insights.
- Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms to improve job recommendations, candidate matching, and resume parsing.
- Deep experience working with data manipulation and analysis tools such as Pandas and SQL.
- Solid understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, SageMaker, etc. ).
- Develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models using Python, scikit-learn, and related libraries.
- Design and build robust data pipelines and workflows leveraging Pandas, SQL, and Kedro.
- 7+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Visualize data trends using dashboards and storytelling tools to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Must-Have Skills
- Proficiency in Python or R; strong knowledge of libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch.
- Expertise in SQL and experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
- Solid understanding of machine learning, NLP, and statistical modeling techniques.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to other cloud platforms (GCP, Azure).
- Knowledge of data visualization libraries (e. g. , Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).
- Familiarity with modern LLM ecosystems and prompt engineering.
