Jobs Description
The Field Technician – Computing and Peripherals is responsible for installing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing computer hardware, peripheral devices, and related equipment at client or company sites. This role involves providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring minimal downtime for end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
2) Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of hardware and basic software issues.
3) Respond to service calls, work orders, and scheduled maintenance requests.
4) Provide technical support to users on-site and occasionally remotely.
5) Replace or upgrade hardware components including memory, hard drives, motherboards, and other internal parts.
6) Document service visits, repair activities, and parts used.
7) Maintain up-to-date knowledge of computing and peripheral technologies.
